Flu Information

The FLU, short for influenza is a very contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses. 

Look for these symptoms if you suspect the flu
:

SUDDEN onset of fever - please note that not everyone with the Flu will have fever
headache and muscle aches
cough
sore throat
and tiredness.
You may also have a runny or stuffy nose, chills, headache, and nausea or vomiting.
 
Flu is spread in the same way that cold viruses are spread, Therefore GOOD  
HAND WASHING IS VERY IMPORTANT!
Also encourage your children to use the following prevention measures:
• cover all coughs and sneezes,
• washing hands frequently and especially after coughing, sneezing, and blowing one’s nose,
• avoid touching of nose, mouth, and eyes, and
• proper disposal of all contaminated tissues.
