Powerlifters Compete at Regionals!

Tigerette Powerlifter, Abby Gautreaux, competed at the Regional Powerlifting Meet held on Saturday, March 7 in Academy and is advancing on to the State Meet. Faith Grace also competed at Regionals. Elementary Jumping Raises Over $12,000!

Thrall Elementary students have raised over $12,000 in the American Heart Association's Kids Heart Challenge. Through Kids Heart Challenge, students learn jump rope skills, how their heart works and raise money to help kids with special hearts. Brooke De Angelis Wins Lone Star Journalism Contest!

Aspiring writer Brooke De Angelis won first place in the Lone Star Journalism Writing Contest for her feature story that was published in the Taylor Press. The Thrall High School junior's story, "Thrall Water Tower Bleeds Purple" about the community spirit tower, won the small school division and Brooke received a cash prize. The state-wide contest is co-sponsored by the Texas Press Association and the Interscholastic League Press Conference. Congratulations to Brooke!

Football Players Selected for Academic All-State Team!

Three Thrall football players were recognized for academic excellence and earned spots on the Academic All-State team. Seniors Thomas Byrd, Caden Matthew Leschber, and Cade Dodd-Tindol were honored by The Texas Army National Guard and the Texas High School Coaches Association for excelling in the following categories: GPA, class rank and ACT/SAT scores. FFA Tractor Tech Team Earns 2nd!

The Thrall FFA Tractor Technician team earned 2nd place at the Area XII Texas FFA Contest on Jan. 31 at Sam Houston State University. Team members include Luke Fisher, Kaleb Hamann, Mac Hamann and Bradley Roeglin. CTE Agriculture Sciences teacher Gary Almquist is their sponsor. They will be competing at State at the Houston Rodeo in March. Good Luck to all!
