Although our Tiger Band did not advance to the Finals Round of the State Marching Band Contest, they had an awesome performance in the Preliminary Round. Tiger Band last competed at the UIL State Marching Band Contest 37 years ago.

Tiger Band's Road to State--
Tiger Band earned all 1s - Superior ratings - at UIL Regional Marching Band Contest on Saturday, Oct 20 in Giddings which advanced Thrall on to the Area Contest.
Tiger Band performed at 11:15 am in Preliminary UIL Area Marching Band Contest on Saturday, Oct. 27 at Whitney Wildcat Stadium. Thrall was selected as one of ten bands out of 21 bands total that advanced then to the Finals UIL Area Contest.
Thrall performed in the Finals round of Area at 9 pm and earned 2nd Place overall out of those ten bands. This qualified the Tiger Band to advance to the UIL State Marching Contest on Tuesday, Nov. 6 at the Alamodome in San Antonio! This is the first time in 37 years that our Tiger Band qualified for the UIL State Marching Band Contest!
