Dear Parents, Students, and Faculty,
I hope this message finds you and your family enjoying the summer break while remaining safe from the COVID-19.
Thrall ISD has been contemplating making adjustments to the new calendar during this time of interruptions from the COVID-19 and would like to make sure all proactive measures can be considered moving forward to preserve the integrity of instruction for our students. There was a survey that was taken (results can be found on the district website) and the feedback was impressive! Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts regarding ideas that would constitute reason for making any necessary changes for this upcoming year.
The first focus was returning to instill effective and safe instruction for our students while the second focus was to have a calendar that might provide frequent breaks to allow for some “recovery” for any illness our district might face. Social Distancing will need to continue for the near future and many mandates are being required to keep all members of our school safe. Face-to-Face Instruction is our primary focus for student learning while Virtual Learning may still be a secondary option for some students. These circumstances have led to the recommendations made to alter the upcoming calendar by administration and the School Board. Please make note of the changes to the calendar.
We Will NOT return to NORMAL; We WILL Return to BETTER!
