Thrall FFA Succeeds at State Competition!

Ag Communictions Overview:

A team, consisting of four members, participate in a simulated news conference. Then, they use the information collected to complete practical problems including writing a news story and press release; preparing a radio broadcast; creating a three-page Web site and developing a page layout. Participants also complete a written communications quiz and an editing exercise.

Land Judging Overview:

Members of land evaluation teams judge sites based on characteristics of the soil and observations of landscape conditions. Then, they recommend land treatments considering factors such as soil characteristics, vegetative conditions and planned use for the site.

Tractor Tech Overview:

At the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, tomorrow’s technicians troubleshoot tractor issues in a two-day competition. After all teams compete on Day 1, the top 10 teams are selected to move on and compete again on Day 2. This competitive event is the only one of its kind in the United States.

Congratulations to all of these Thrall FFA students and their sponsors Mr. Gary Almquist and Ms. Stacy Hagaman.
