Thrall Elementary students are invited to decorate a pumpkin like their favorite book character. It’s easy and fun! Students may bring in a decorated pumpkin (real or artificial) to the school library on October 25-30, and enter it into our contest which will be Wednesday, October 31. The students in each grade level will vote for his/her favorite book character pumpkin. The winning pumpkin from each grade level will be placed in the Fall Festival auction.
Pumpkins, real or artificial, may be painted, hot glued, colored, etc. Decorated artificial pumpkins WILL be accepted and are preferred. ABSOLUTELY NO CARVED REAL PUMPKINS will be entered into the contest. Real carved pumpkins rot, attract bugs and smell.
Pumpkins must represent a favorite book character in order to be entered.
On a 5X7 piece of paper (not on your pumpkin), write your name, grade and homeroom teacher. On the back of the paper write the name of your character, title of book and author.
Come to the Fall Festival on November 3 to bid on your favorite pumpkin.
Pumpkins will be sent home with students on Monday, November 5th.
