Superintendent's Message

Dear Tiger Family,

The new school year 2016-2017 is upon us and we anticipate great accomplishments. Many of our teachers and staff are preparing for the coming school year. The Bond 2015 Plan is in full effect and will provide new classrooms and learning opportunities.  The administration has been working this summer to do facility and construction planning while preparing all faculty for the return on Wednesday, August 10th while students return on Monday, August 22nd- the Official 1st Day of School!  You’re invited to “Meet the Teacher Night” District-wide on Wednesday, August 17th from 5:30-8:00 pm and the TRE (Tax Ratification Election) Early Voting opportunity will be taking place from August 10th to August 23rd at the Thrall ISD Board Room. The Regular Voting for TRE is on Saturday, August 27th from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.

There are many opportunities this year for students as we have set our goals high, and these high expectations will lead to tremendous academic and extra-curricular success.  We continue the College Readiness initiative for students and this year including the Vocational Certification through the Tech-Connect Program.  Our students have the opportunity to network with students from other local districts and have the opportunity to attend the EWCHEC Center (partnering with TSTC in Hutto) to gain certification in several vocational areas.  This is an amazing project providing our students with an opportunity immediately to gain employment upon graduation from Thrall High School. Whether a student chooses to be a part of a strong UIL Academic program or to compete in any of the Extra-curricular activities, they will be a part of a competitive school district!

Parents/guardians need to be advised to check the school website @ for reporting dates and times for extra-curricular activities and picking up high school and middle school schedules. Also check the website for information about Elementary registration and school supply lists. The Student Handbooks will be posted online and all parents will need to access this information via the internet.  Hard copies of the handbook will not be sent home unless one is requested.

Our focus this year at all levels is College & Post-Secondary Readiness; teaching Soft Skills.  This leads to the display of outstanding leadership, and the desire for tremendous academic success as we prepare our future leaders. We look forward to a successful and productive year- Go Tigers and Tigerettes!
We Can, We Will, All Together!
